Sick Child Visits

Your child’s health is our priority—especially when they aren’t feeling their best. We offer dedicated day-of sick visit availability to ensure your family gets the care you need, when you need it.

About Our Appointments

During a sick child visit, our team provides a focused, comprehensive evaluation to pinpoint the cause of your child’s symptoms and start them on a clear path to recovery. We take the time to answer your questions, ensuring you feel confident in your child’s care plan before you leave our office.

To make care as accessible and convenient as possible, we offer two ways to get on our calendar.

Schedule Online

A select number of same-day appointments are available to book directly through our Patient Portal. This is available for our currently enrolled patients.

Call for Availability

We keep additional time in our daily schedule specifically for sick visits. If you don’t see an online opening that works for you, please call our clinic directly.

Sick Child Visit FAQs

When should I book a sick visit vs. go to the ER?

We are equipped to handle most childhood illnesses and minor injuries. However, if your child is experiencing difficulty breathing, uncontrollable bleeding, or a loss of consciousness, please head to the nearest Emergency Room or call 911.

What should I bring to a sick visit?

Please bring a record of any recent fevers, a list of medications/dosages you’ve already administered at home, and any specific questions you have for the provider.

Can my other children be seen at the same time?

To ensure we provide each child with intentional, unhurried care, we ask that you schedule a separate appointment for each sibling needing to be seen.

What if my child gets sick after the office is closed?

We know that concerns don’t always happen during office hours. If your child gets sick when our clinic is closed:

  • For non-urgent questions, we encourage you to send us a message on our Patient Portal.
  • For urgent care needs on the weekend or in the evening, we recommend Care + Pediatrics.
  • For emergency room care, we recommend Integris Baptist or OU Children’s ER.

You can also reach our after-hours nurse triage line by calling our main office number and following the prompts. A pediatric nurse will help you determine the best next steps for your child.
